Join our Multimedia team to edit compelling videos on national, international news and entertainment. You'll work on video edits, motion graphics, and create YouTube-optimized thumbnails. Proficiency in FCP or Premiere Pro, along with Canva and Photoshop, is a must. We're looking for someone with strong storytelling instincts, attention to detail, and a pulse on digital trends.
- Qualification, Experience and deliverables:
- HSC or any Grad with proven editorial skills
- Deliver 6 VODs and 4 Shorts daily
- Design new IPs every quarter
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit high-quality, engaging videos for YouTube and social platforms on national, international news, and entertainment
- Collaborate with producers to shape story arcs, pacing, and visual identity for each video
- Create click-worthy, YouTube-optimized thumbnails and motion graphics using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools
- Add graphics, sound design, and colour correction to enhance storytelling and retention
- Ensure quick turnarounds without compromising quality, especially during breaking news or trending topics
- Organise and maintain media assets efficiently for fast-paced editorial workflows
- Job Specific Knowledge Skills
- Proficiency in Final Cut Pro (FCP) or Adobe Premiere Pro (either or both is acceptable)
- Strong skills in Photoshop and Canva for thumbnail design and graphics
- A keen eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement trends on YouTube
- Minimum 5-7 years or more years of experience in video editing, preferably in news/digital media
- Understanding of YouTube best practicestitles, tags, retention tactics, and thumbnails
- Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and handle constructive feedback positively
