Role OverviewWe are looking for a Video Editor cum Graphic Designer to join our creative team and support the production of high-quality video content across digital platforms. This role is predominantly focused on video editing and post-production, with a secondary responsibility of creating basic graphic assets to support video and content requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong editing sensibility, a good understanding of pacing and storytelling, and is comfortable working with modern video editing tools in a fast-paced creative environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Editing & Post-Production (Primary Focus)
- Edit raw footage into engaging, platform-ready video content including short-form videos, reels, shorts, brand videos, and campaign assets.
- Execute clean, professional edits with appropriate pacing, transitions, sound design, captions, and basic motion elements.
- Adapt video content for multiple platforms while maintaining creative intent and brand consistency.
- Ensure accuracy, visual quality, and technical correctness across all video outputs.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
- Incorporate creative and stakeholder feedback efficiently and maintain version control.
Basic Graphic Design Support (Secondary Focus)
- Create simple graphic assets such as thumbnails, title cards, text overlays, banners, and basic creatives using Canva and Adobe tools.
- Support video content with visually aligned static assets where required.
- Ensure design elements are consistent with brand guidelines and creative direction.
Collaboration & Process
- Work closely with content, marketing, and creative teams to understand briefs and translate them into effective video outputs.
- Maintain organised project files and asset libraries for easy access and reuse.
- Stay updated on video editing trends, formats, and platform best practices to continuously improve output quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in video editing (full-time, internship, or structured freelance).
- Strong working knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of video fundamentals including framing, pacing, sound, transitions, and basic motion.
- Basic working knowledge of graphic design tools including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Ability to follow creative briefs, brand guidelines, and feedback accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Portfolio or demo reel showcasing video editing work is mandatory.
Preferred (Nice to Have)- Exposure to motion graphics or basic After Effects workflows.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content formats (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Experience working in a creative agency, content studio, or digital-first environment.
