Video Editor Intern

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Video Editor Intern to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should have basic video editing skills, a creative mindset, and an understanding of graphic designing.

This role is suitable for someone who is eager to learn, can work on short-form and long-form video content, and understands how to create engaging edits for platforms like YouTube, Instagram Reels, and Shorts.

Job Summary:

As a Video Editor Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the creative team in editing videos for social media, YouTube, and other digital platforms. You will work on basic cuts, transitions, text overlays, captions, music syncing, and visual improvements to make the content more engaging.

The candidate should also have a basic understanding of design elements such as layout, color, typography, and visual balance, as this will help in creating better thumbnails, video graphics, and social media creatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Edit short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms
2. Assist in editing long-form YouTube videos
3. Add captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, and basic transitions
4. Ensure videos are clean, engaging, and aligned with the brand style
5. Work on basic graphic elements required for videos
6. Coordinate with the content and creative team to understand video requirements
7. Make revisions based on feedback
8. Maintain proper file organization for edited videos and raw footage
9. Stay updated with current video trends, especially for Shorts and YouTube content

Key Requirements:

1. Basic knowledge of video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software
2. Basic understanding of graphic designing
3. Familiarity with tools like Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design platforms will be a plus
4. Understanding of short-form video formats, especially YouTube Shorts and Reels
5. Ability to add captions, subtitles, transitions, and basic effects
6. Creative mindset with attention to detail
7. Willingness to learn and improve editing skills
8. Ability to work full-time from office/remote as per company requirements
9. Good communication and coordination skills
10. Basic understanding of social media content trends will be preferred

Preferred Skills

1. Basic thumbnail designing skills
2. Understanding of YouTube video structure and pacing
3. Knowledge of trending sounds, hooks, and engaging video styles
