Video Editor (Full-Time, In-Office)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Gutbasket is looking for a full-time, in-office Video Editor to join our core team in Gandhinagar. You'll be responsible for editing paid video ads and organic short-form content that drives real results, and learning AI video generation tools that are reshaping the industry.

This role sits at the heart of our marketing engine. The content you create will directly influence how our brand grows, how our ads perform, and how our audience engages with us. You'll work closely with the founders, with fast feedback loops and full creative visibility into what's working.

Success in this role looks like: videos that perform, a growing command of AI video tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

→ Edit high-quality video ads optimised for performance across digital platforms

→ Create short-form organic video content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms

→ Learn and operate AI video generation tools (Runway, Kling, and others) through hands-on experimentation

→ Collaborate directly with founders on creative direction and content strategy

→ Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time, every time

→ Incorporate feedback quickly and improve output across iterations

→ Stay current with video editing trends, platform formats, and emerging AI tools

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills

→ Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing software — or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly

→ Understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific requirements

→ Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and editing for engagement

→ Familiarity with AI video tools is a plus — no prior experience required, but genuine curiosity is non-negotiable

Attitude (equally important to technical skills)

→ Persistent and self-directed when facing unfamiliar problems or tools

→ Receptive to feedback and able to apply it without ego

Experience

→ Any level considered — attitude and output matter more than years of experience

→ A portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing work (professional, personal, or academic)

→ Experience with short-form content, ads, or performance video is a plus but not required
