About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who understands the dynamics of short-form social media content. The ideal candidate should be able to transform raw footage into engaging videos designed to capture attention quickly and maintain viewer retention across platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging short-form videos optimized for social media platforms.
- Apply visual storytelling techniques to create compelling narratives within short durations.
- Craft strong hooks in the first few seconds to improve audience retention.
- Select appropriate music, sound effects, and pacing to enhance content impact.
- Add basic motion graphics, subtitles, and visual elements to improve engagement.
- Perform basic color correction and audio balancing.
- Collaborate with the content and creative team to execute ideas effectively.
- Stay updated with current social media trends and editing styles.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of short-form content editing and audience retention strategies.
- Ability to identify and implement effective hooks and pacing techniques.
- Good sense of music selection and timing for social media content.
- Knowledge of basic motion graphics and color correction.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
