We're hiring a full-time editor for a new YouTube documentary channel focused on mid to long-form videos, typically 10 to 20 minutes.
This role is only for DaVinci Resolve editors. If you are not comfortable working in Resolve, this role will not be a good fit.
This is a story-driven role. The editing style is clean and cinematic, with a strong focus on pacing and narrative flow. It is not a fast-cut or heavily stylized YouTube editing style.
- What we're looking for:A strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and tension
- Clean and cinematic editing style without overuse of effects
- Good audio mixing and sound design instincts
- Ability to work with voiceover, host footage, and b-roll in a cohesive way
If your style relies heavily on fast cuts, memes, or constant zooms, this role will not be a good fit.
- The role:End-to-end editing in DaVinci Resolve (mandatory)
- Full edit responsibility including pacing, color grading, music, and sound design
- Integration of b-roll, archival footage, and overlays
- Minor 2D work in After Effects if required. Heavier animation work will be handled by dedicated 2D and 3D artists
- Working from structured scripts, storyboards, and provided assets
- Collaborating with scriptwriters, storyboard artists, and animation teams to ensure the edit aligns with the narrative and visual direction
Requirements:
Experience with documentary or narrative-driven content, preferably long-form or broadcast
- A solid understanding of editing rhythm and emotional pacing
- Good English comprehension for following scripts and structure
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear communication, as this is a collaborative production workflow
Terms:
Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extending into a long-term role
- Remote position open to India-based applicants only
- Individual editors only, no agencies
- Compensation will be in INR on a monthly retainer basis, with a full-time expectation of 40 hours per week
- Pay will be competitive for high-quality documentary work

Screening process:
