Job Overview: 

We are seeking a bright and experienced Video Editor and Animator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling through engaging visuals and have the technical skills to bring ideas to life. You will be in charge of editing video footage, designing motion graphics and animations, and ensuring that the overall visual quality of media projects is consistent with the brand's identity. 

Key responsibilities: 

Video Editing:

- Edit footage to ensure smooth transitions, suitable pacing, and cohesive storytelling. 

- Use sound effects, music, voiceovers, and other audio features to improve the video experience. 

- Use colour correction, grading, and other visual enhancements to keep a professional appearance. 

- Organise and manage raw media content, ensuring that assets are safely preserved and accessible. 

Animation and motion graphics: 

- Use dynamic animations, motion graphics, and visual effects to improve video content. 

- Design and animate lower thirds, introductions, outros, and other brand aspects. 

- Create explainer videos, animated logos, and other media in accordance with the creative brief. 

Collaboration & Communication:

- Work closely with content authors, designers, and marketing teams to ensure the final product meets project objectives. 

- Use feedback from clients or internal teams to make changes to video and animation projects. 

Quality Assurance: 

- Deliver final outputs in appropriate format and specs for multiple platforms (social media, broadcast, web). 

- Stay up to date on the latest video editing, animation software, and design trends to ensure the best quality of work. 

Knowledge of 3D animation is an added advantage

Qualifications: 

- Demonstrated experience as a Video Editor and Animator with a solid portfolio of work. 

- Proficiency with *Adobe Creative Suite* (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), *Final Cut Pro*, and other necessary software. 

- Solid understanding of motion graphics design, visual effects, and 2D/3D animation. 

- Experience with video codecs, formats, and exporting to various sites (YouTube, Instagram, etc.). 

- Excellent attention to detail, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for visual storytelling. 

- The ability to operate both alone and collaboratively. 

- Knowledge of typography, colour theory, and composition is beneficial. 

- Strong communication skills and the ability to fulfil deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
