Role Overview

We are seeking a highly proficient and creative Video Editor who understands the anatomy of a viral video. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into captivating, high-retention content tailored for various platforms (Reels, Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos). The ideal candidate is not only an expert in traditional editing software but is also ahead of the curve in leveraging modern AI platforms to enhance video quality, speed up workflows, and push creative boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging, and platform-optimized videos (short-form and long-form).

• Retention-Driven Editing: Implement fast-paced cuts, engaging B-roll, dynamic text animations, and strategic sound design to maximize viewer retention and incorporate viral hooks.

• AI Integration: Utilize the latest AI video tools (such as RunwayML, Topaz Labs, Opus Clip, Adobe Firefly, or AI-driven audio enhancement) to upscale footage, generate assets, automate captions, and improve overall editing efficiency.

• Colour & Audio: Perform high-level color grading and audio mixing to ensure a professional, cinematic quality across all client deliverables.

• Algorithm Optimization: Work closely with the social media management team to ensure all video edits align with current Instagram and YouTube SEO best practices and algorithmic trends.

• Asset Management: Organize and manage video assets, project files, and final exports efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Software Mastery: Highly proficient in industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro).

• AI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using AI platforms to enhance video editing workflows and creative output.

• Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of current social media trends, pacing, and what makes content highly shareable.

• Creative Problem Solver: Ability to take a creative brief or a rough concept and turn it into a compelling visual story.

• Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for timing, visual flow, and typography.

• Time Management: Strong ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
