Strategic Leadership & Planning
• Procurement Strategy: Define and implement a long-term, multi-year procurement strategy covering all direct and indirect categories, aligned with business objectives for growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Spend Management: Oversee and manage the organization's total third-party spend, increasing the percentage of spend under strategic management to maximize value and cost efficiency.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual procurement budgeting process and provide accurate cost forecasts, savings projections, and financial insights across all procurement categories.
• Category Management: Establish and manage a robust category management framework with deep market intelligence, supplier landscape analysis, and cost driver insights for key spend categories.
Direct Procurement (Supply Continuity, Quality & Cost Optimization)
• Strategic Material Sourcing: Lead sourcing of critical production materials and components to ensure security of supply, regulatory compliance, and optimal landed cost.
• Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory levels and support Just-in-Time (JIT) or lean inventory strategies.
• Supply Risk Management: Develop and implement supply chain resilience strategies, including dual-sourcing and risk mitigation plans for critical materials.
• Value Engineering: Partner with Engineering and R&D teams to drive cost reduction through material substitution, design-to-cost initiatives, and supplier innovation.
Indirect Procurement (Operational Efficiency & Total Cost of Ownership)
• TCO Management: Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for major indirect spend categories such as IT systems, facility services, logistics, and professional services.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to internal departments (HR, IT, Marketing, Finance) to understand business needs and deliver value-driven procurement solutions.
• Procure-to-Pay Optimization: Streamline and automate P2P processes to improve user experience, enhance compliance, and reduce maverick spending.
• Service Level Management: Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics for key service providers and outsourced vendors.
Supplier Relationship & Contract Management
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Establish a formal SRM program for strategic suppliers to strengthen collaboration, performance, and long-term partnerships.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Lead complex negotiations for high-value contracts and long-term agreements while ensuring favorable commercial terms.
• Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metrics, ensuring corrective action plans when required.
• Contract Lifecycle Management: Ensure effective contract drafting, execution, and lifecycle management to protect the organization's legal and commercial interests.
Compliance, Governance & Sustainability
• Procurement Governance: Establish and enforce procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks aligned with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
• Ethical Sourcing: Promote corporate social responsibility and sustainability by implementing ethical sourcing standards and supplier diversity initiatives.
• Risk Management & Reporting: Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on procurement performance, cost savings, and critical supply chain risks.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
• Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering strategic thinking, innovation, and ethical business practices.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Represent procurement in executive committees and cross-functional strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualification:- Any Graduate & MBA in SCM
