The VP AI will be the technical and strategic leader of AI vertical, responsible for defining the AI roadmap, overseeing large-scale production AI systems, driving innovation, building high-performance teams, and ensuring delivery excellence for enterprise and government customers.
Key Responsibilites:
1.AI Vision & Strategy:
- Define and execute the long-term AI roadmap aligned with company growth
- Drive innovation across
- Multilingual NMT & Transliteration
- ASR / TTS systems
- OCR pipelines
- LLM & RAG platforms
- Conversational AI & Voicebots
- Identify emerging technologies and convert them into competitive advantages.
- Represent Devnagri in strategic AI partnerships and industry forums.
2.AI Product & Architecture Leadership:
- Architect scalable AI systems serving millions of requests
- Oversee model training, fine-tuning, optimization, and deployment
- Ensure production-grade reliability, performance, and monitoring
- Lead large-scale LLM, embedding, ASR, and translation model deployments
- Drive optimization (quantization, pruning, GPU cost reduction).
3. Team Leadership & Organizational Building:
- Build and scale a high-performance AI team (NLP, Speech, ML, MLOps).
- Mentor Senior AI Engineers & Tech Leads.
- Establish code quality, research validation, and benchmarking frameworks
- Create structured AI R&D and delivery pipelines.
- Develop second-line technical leaders.
4.Infrastructure & Cost Governance
- Oversee GPU infrastructure on AWS/GCP
- Optimize inference cost and model serving
- Ensure high availability and low-latency systems
- Implement AI observability, failover, and auto-scaling systems
5. Enterprise & Government Engagement:
- Provide technical leadership in large AI deployments.
- Collaborate with Sales for solution positioning.
- Support high-value RFPs and AI architecture presentations.
- Act as technical face for key enterprise accounts.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience :8+ years overall experience
- AI/ML 4+ years leading
- AI teamsProven track record of deploying production-grade AI systems
- Experience handling enterprise or government AI projects.
Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in :
- NLP, Speech, Deep Learning, Generative
- AITransformer architectures
- ASR / TTS systems
- Multilingual AI (Indian languages preferred)
- LLM fine-tuning, RAG systems
- HuggingFace, PyTorch, TensorFlow
- vLLM, ONNX, CTranslate2, inference optimization
- Vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Milvus)
- MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes
- GPU infrastructure & cost optimisation.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Graduates from premier institutions such as IITs, IISc, IIITs, ISI, or globally reputed universities will be strongly preferred.
- Advanced research exposure in NLP, Speech Processing, Deep Learning, or Generative AI is highly desirable.
