Role Overview

The Vice President Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for driving growth across one or more strategic business segments or portfolios within Softcell. The role is customer-facing and execution-oriented, with ownership spanning revenue growth, GTM execution, OEM alignment, and senior stakeholder engagement.

This position requires a strong understanding of the Indian enterprise market, experience in complex solution sales, and the ability to work closely with internal delivery, pre-sales, and partner teams to convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for assigned customer segments, regions, or solution portfolios.
  • Drive revenue growth, pipeline development, and deal execution in line with agreed business targets.
  • Engage with CXOs and senior decision-makers at enterprise and institutional customers to understand requirements and position relevant solutions.
  • Work closely with OEM partners to align field execution, joint pursuits, and partner-led initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal pre-sales, delivery, and support teams to ensure successful deal closure and customer satisfaction.
  • Track key business metrics including pipeline health, forecast accuracy, margins, and execution milestones.
  • Build, guide, and mentor sales and account teams where applicable.
  • Represent Softcell at customer meetings, partner events, and relevant industry forums as required.

Candidate Profile

  • 1520 years of experience in enterprise IT solution sales within India, preferably in systems integration, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity domains.
  • Prior experience in a senior sales leadership, business head, or vertical ownership role.
  • Strong understanding of Indian enterprise buying processes, procurement models, and long sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with global OEM partners and influencing joint GTM outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on leadership role, with accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
