Job Profile: Vice President / General Manager – Business Development (International)

Location: Gurugram

Employment Type: Full-time, WFO, General Shift

Preferred experience: 10+ years

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President / General Manager – Business Development (International) to drive global business expansion, establish strategic partnerships, and accelerate revenue growth across international markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep AEC industry expertise, and a proven track record of securing large-scale contracts and managing high-value client relationships.

Responsibilities

·      Develop and execute global business development strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth.

·      Identify and penetrate new international markets, particularly in North America and Europe.

·      Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, key stakeholders, and strategic partners.

·      Lead the acquisition of large-scale, multi-million-dollar contracts and long-term strategic engagements.

·      Manage the complete sales lifecycle, from lead generation through contract closure and account expansion.

·      Mentor, coach, and scale high-performing business development teams across regions.

·      Standardize and optimize the global sales pipeline and business development processes.

·      Collaborate with technical and operational teams to align client requirements with service offerings.

·      Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities within the AEC sector.

·      Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on growth initiatives and market strategies.

Must - Have Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

·      10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or Project Management within the AEC, Engineering Consultancy, or Construction industry.

·      Proven success in winning and managing large-scale international contracts.

·      Strong understanding of AEC workflows, BIM, VDC, Digital Engineering, and construction technologies.

·      Experience leading and developing business development teams.

·      Strong stakeholder management and consultative selling skills.

·      Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.

·      Experience in revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications:   

·      Direct experience managing business operations in the USA and European markets.

·      Established network of C-level contacts within the Engineering, Infrastructure, or Construction sectors.

·      Experience working across multicultural and geographically diverse teams.

·      Strong understanding of international business regulations and market dynamics.

·      Ability to drive organizational growth through strategic partnerships and alliances.
