Job Description Vice President- Finance
Location: Okhla, South Delhi
Experience: 15+ Years
Working Model: On-site, 5.5 days
Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, dynamic, and highly experienced Vice President Finance to lead our financial operations, oversee fundraising initiatives, manage investor relations, and drive financial planning, reporting, and risk management. The ideal candidate will serve as a key member of the executive team and a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and investors, ensuring the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
Provide insightful and trusted counsel to the CEO and executive team on both short-term and long-term financial planning and performance.
Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
Identify and implement financial KPIs, performance metrics, and dashboards.
2. Investor Relations & Fundraising
Act as the primary point of contact for existing and potential investors.
Lead equity and debt fundraising efforts including preparation of pitch decks, financial models, and investor communication materials.
Build and maintain strong relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, investment banks, and other financial institutions.
Organize and manage due diligence processes for investment rounds or exits.
3. Financial Operations & Accounting
Oversee all accounting functions including financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Drive operational efficiency in financial processes including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax planning.
Lead treasury management, cash flow planning, and working capital optimization.
4. Due Diligence & Compliance
Lead financial due diligence for M&A, JV, and strategic investments.
Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements across geographies.
Work closely with legal, HR, and operational teams to ensure robust risk management practices.
5. Team Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounts team.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. MBA (Finance) or CPA/CA is highly preferred.
12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
Proven track record in fundraising (VC/PE/Strategic investors) and investor relations.
Experience managing due diligence and financial reporting for M&A or IPOs is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of financial accounting principles, budgeting, financial planning, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
