About the role:
As our VP of Finance, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial future and driving our strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fundraising Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies across various rounds, identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, manage due diligence, and negotiate investment terms.
- Investor Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to the executive team and board, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Financial Management and Control: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting. Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Audit and Compliance: Manage audit processes and ensure adherence to corporate governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Corporate Governance: Establish and maintain strong corporate governance frameworks and policies
- Capital Allocation: Develop and implement effective capital allocation strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record of 10+ years in progressive finance leadership roles, with significant experience in fundraising, audit, corporate governance, and capital allocation.
- Audit experience gained within big 4 accounting firms (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading fundraising rounds and building strong investor relationships.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.
- Experience managing and leading a high-performing finance team.
