Roles & Responsibilities :

  1. Vibration Data Acquisition & Analysis

    • Develop and implementvibration measurement methodologiesfor rotating and static equipment such as motors, pumps, turbines, and gearboxes.

    • Configure and calibratevibration sensors(accelerometers, MEMS, and piezoelectric) to ensure accurate data acquisition and reliable signal quality.

    • Performvibration spectrum and time-domain analysisto identify unbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, looseness, and resonance issues.

    • ApplyFull Spectrum Analysisto detect forward and backward whirl components, unbalance, misalignment, and fluid-induced instabilities in rotating machinery.

    • ConductOrbit and Centerline (CLD) Analysisto assess shaft dynamic behavior, journal bearing performance, and rotor stability during various operating conditions.

    • Possess working knowledge ofjournal bearing analysisandeddy current sensor-based measurementsfor monitoring shaft position and bearing clearances.

  2. Signal Processing and Feature Extraction

    • Apply signal processing techniques such as FFT, envelope detection, wavelet transforms, and cepstrum analysis.

    • Extract relevant features for machine learning-based fault prediction models.

  3. Diagnostics and Root Cause Analysis

    • Support diagnostic efforts for vibration-related issues in mechanical systems.

    • Provide insights to improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

  4. Collaboration and Reporting

    • Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, data science, software, and IoT engineers) to enhance system accuracy.

    • Document test procedures, results, and diagnostic algorithms.

    • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.


Qualifications

Educational qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's inMechanical Engineering,Mechatronics,Instrumentation, orApplied Physics.

Experience :

  • 5-7 years in vibration diagnostics, predictive maintenance, Condition Monitoring

Mandatory/requires Skills :

  • Must have ISO Category II or III Vibration Analyst Certification(e.g., Mobius Institute)

  • Good to have knowledge of ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 standards

  • Good to have knowledge of API Standards for Rotating Machinery

Preferred Skills :

  • Thermography

  • Knowledge on Dynamic balancing, Alignment, MCSA, Lubrication analysis

  • Root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability tools (FMEA, FRACAS etc)
