Job Description

About DROPZ

DROPZ is India's first true limited-edition platform, a culture-forward destination where every product drop is rare, intentional, and never restocked. We aren't just building a brand; we're building a platform that curates stories through exclusive in-house drops, creator collaborations, and collectible releases across fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. Every drop is a moment, but the platform is the big picture and our brand must ignite cultural hype.

As a VFX Artist, you will help Alpha Drop ship premium, cinematic short-form that feels fast, modern, and culturally sharp. This is a 0 to 100 environment where taste matters, speed matters, and you will own shots end to end, iterate daily with editors and designers, and raise the finish bar without slowing momentum.

What You'll Do

  • Add VFX and motion polish to short-form drop content by compositing elements, integrating overlays, and upgrading transitions, so each launch feels premium, intentional, and scroll stopping while still shipping on tight timelines.
  • Execute clean compositing work including tracking, keying, matchmoving support, and light integration, delivering believable blends that hold up on mobile viewing and keep the product and story as the hero.
  • Build stylized effects such as particles, light streaks, glitch and warp treatments, lens accents, and reveal moments, using restraint and strong cultural taste so effects elevate the narrative instead of distracting from it.
  • Own cleanup workflows like rotoscoping, masking, wire or object removal, screen replacements, and stabilization support, producing clean plates and seamless fixes that protect the final finish under fast delivery pressure.
  • Partner with editors to design shot approaches before you start, clarifying intent, estimating effort, and sequencing work so you hit review checkpoints without last minute surprises or rushed quality.
  • Create reusable templates and effect presets for repeatable launch formats, packaging organized project files, precomps, and adjustment stacks that make consistency easier across different brands and drop identities.
  • Maintain tight file hygiene by naming assets clearly, versioning shots, keeping folders structured, and documenting what changed per iteration, so handoffs stay smooth and rework stays minimal.
  • Prep exports for review and final delivery with correct aspect ratios, safe areas, and compression awareness, ensuring effects render cleanly across platforms and do not introduce artifacts or readability issues.
  • Run quality checks before each handoff by comparing against references, verifying edges, motion blur, lighting consistency, and timing, then fixing details so the final output feels deliberate and high craft.
  • Take ownership of assigned shots end to end, flagging risks early, requesting feedback quickly, and shipping with accountability, so the team can move fast while protecting the premium DROPZ bar.

Who You Are

  • You have 12 to 24 months of hands-on experience in VFX, motion, or compositing work, and you can share a portfolio or reel showing tracking, cleanup, compositing, or stylized effects in short-form content.
  • You are comfortable in standard VFX and motion tools (for example After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar), and you can adapt fast to new plugins, templates, and team workflows without losing quality.
  • You understand fundamentals like timing, easing, layering, color consistency, and edge quality, and you care about details such as roto edges, spill control, motion blur, and natural integration.
  • You can follow references precisely while also proposing smarter alternatives, translating creative notes into concrete shot changes that improve clarity, impact, and overall finish.
  • You move fast without getting sloppy, using structured iterations, precomps, and checklists so speed improves without sacrificing the premium look DROPZ expects.
  • You are a low friction collaborator who takes feedback well, communicates progress clearly, and keeps editors unblocked through predictable handoffs and clean project organization.
  • You can handle repetitive precision work like masking, rotoscoping, and cleanup, staying patient and consistent until the shot is genuinely clean and review ready.
  • You have strong visual taste and cultural awareness, paying attention to internet aesthetics, fashion energy, and creator-led storytelling so your effects feel current and not generic.
  • You thrive in a startup environment where priorities shift daily, ownership is expected early, and you bring intensity, accountability, and a build-first mindset to help DROPZ scale from 0 to 100.
  • You take long-term responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks, protecting timelines by flagging constraints early and investing in systems that make the next drop faster and cleaner.

What We Offer

  • High ownership and real creative impact, you will ship work that directly shapes how DROPZ launches feel, with the autonomy to own shots and the responsibility to protect a premium quality bar.
  • A builder's environment, you will help create reusable templates, workflows, and quality checks that scale our content engine from 0 to 100 without adding chaos.
  • Growth through responsibility, you will get visibility, trust, and harder problems as you prove consistency, and your growth tracks directly to the impact you deliver.
  • Long-term upside through building together, we value people who invest in the mission, bring daily intensity, and build culture with the team rather than just completing assignments.
