Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur for a Veterinary Surgeon. The Veterinary Surgeon will perform medical examinations, surgical procedures on dogs like Spay-Neuter and other surgeries including those with special care requirements. The role involves diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses, overseeing rehabilitation processes, and maintaining accurate health records for sanctuary animals. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with the care team to ensure the overall well-being of all animals in line with the sanctuary's mission.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Veterinary Surgery and Veterinary Medicine with a strong understanding of animal care practices
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating animal health issues, including general and emergency care
- Experience in providing compassionate care for animals with special needs and traumatic histories
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Veterinary Sciences
- Valid veterinary certification or license to practice
- Experience working in animal rehabilitation or similar settings is a plus
