Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Surgeon at Peepal Farm, located in Kangra. The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for performing surgical procedures, diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses in animals, and overseeing the overall health and well-being of the animals under care. Additional responsibilities include conducting health assessments, prescribing treatments, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. Collaboration with the wider team to ensure the effective rehabilitation of rescued animals is also a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Veterinary Surgery and Veterinary Medicine are essential for the role.
- Experience and proficiency in Pet Care and general animal well-being.
- Sound knowledge of Laboratory Skills and diagnostic procedures related to animal health.
- Professional expertise in Veterinary Medicine, including administering treatments and developing care plans.
- Compassionate and patient approach to animal care, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a rural, farm-based setting.
- Degree in Veterinary Science (DVM or equivalent) and a valid license to practice veterinary medicine.
- Experience in working with rescued or stray animals is highly desirable.
