Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Veterinary Doctor to diagnose, treat, and care for animals while ensuring high standards of medical practice, animal welfare, and client satisfaction. The role involves preventive care, medical treatment, surgical procedures, and client education.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Medical Responsibilities
- Examine animals to diagnose illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions
- Provide medical treatment, vaccinations, deworming, and preventive healthcare
- Perform minor and major surgical procedures when required
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans
- Monitor recovery and follow-up care
- Handle emergency and critical care cases
Animal Care & Welfare
- Ensure humane handling and welfare of animals at all times
- Advise pet owners on nutrition, hygiene, and overall animal care
- Maintain biosecurity and infection control protocols
Client Interaction
- Educate pet owners about diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding animal health
- Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism
Records & Compliance
- Maintain accurate medical records and case histories
- Ensure compliance with veterinary laws, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Assist in audits, inspections, or reporting when required
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with veterinary nurses, assistants, and support staff
- Guide junior staff or interns when needed
- Coordinate with external labs or specialists

Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H) Mandatory
- Registered with the State Veterinary Council / VCI
Experience
- Freshers or experienced candidates (as per requirement)
- Experience in small animals / large animals / farm practice is a plus
