Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Senior Veterinary Doctor at our pet hospital. The Senior Veterinary Doctor will provide advanced medical care for pets, including diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and performing surgeries. Additional responsibilities include guiding a team of veterinary staff, ensuring proper protocols are followed, consulting with pet owners on animal health, and maintaining meticulous medical records. The role requires compassionate communication with clients and proactive collaboration with the clinic team to ensure high-quality care for animals.
Qualifications
- Expertise in veterinary medicine, including diagnosing illnesses, treatment plans, and performing surgeries
- Skills in working with small and companion animals, including conducting routine check-ups and vaccinations
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and manage veterinary staff and collaborate within a team environment
- Empathy and communication skills for consulting with pet owners and delivering exceptional client service
- Keen attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to care protocols
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent qualification
- Valid veterinary license in the applicable region, with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Experience in advanced diagnostic tools and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with medical software and willingness to continue professional development
