Job Purpose
To lead and manage the evaluation and prequalification of vendors to ensure that only technically capable, financially stable, and reliable suppliers are approved to participate in company projects. The role plays a critical part in risk mitigation and alignment with business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end vendor prequalification and evaluation process.
- Assess vendors technical capabilities, financial stability, operational capacity, and compliance standing.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments in coordination with Finance and Risk teams.
- Ensure alignment with procurement policies and prequalification standards.
- Maintain and update prequalification criteria in line with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to validate capability assessments.
- Prepare evaluation reports and recommendations for approval committees.
- Monitor vendor performance trends and recommend requalification or suspension when necessary.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of evaluation frameworks and risk mitigation controls.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in vendor evaluation, procurement risk, finance analysis, or supplier management.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
- Experience in telecom or large enterprise procurement environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP and vendor management systems.
