Value Chain Simulation Tools Engineer - PLM Platform

Job Summary: Maimsd Technology is seeking a highly experienced Value Chain Simulation Tools Engineer / Consultant with deep technical expertise in Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, Siemens Technomatix Tools, and FlexSim. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on experience working with simulation tools used in manufacturing and digital twin environments, coupled with strong proficiency in REST API development, particularly within enterprise PLM systems like PTC Windchill and Siemens Teamcenter. This role is crucial for simulating, analyzing, and optimizing complex manufacturing processes and supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

Value Chain Simulation Tools Expertise:

• Apply deep expertise in value chain simulation tools to simulate, analyze, and optimize complex manufacturing processes and supply chains.

Demonstrate hands-on experience with:

• Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite: Leveraging its digital manufacturing capabilities to connect engineering, manufacturing, and production.
• Siemens Technomatix: Utilizing plant simulation, robotic simulation, and process planning tools to create digital twins of manufacturing processes.

FlexSim:

• Applying this 3D simulation tool for modeling and optimizing systems such as manufacturing lines, logistics, and service operations.
• Lead Tool Development and Customization, tailoring these tools to meet customer-specific manufacturing workflows or simulations.
• Oversee Testing and Implementation, validating configurations and ensuring smooth integration into production or planning environments.
• Conduct Post-Implementation Assessment, evaluating the success of simulation projects, collecting feedback, and driving continuous improvement.
• Configure, extend, and support these simulation tools effectively within an enterprise environment.

REST API Development (OOTB and Custom):

• Develop and integrate REST APIs specifically in the context of integrating and customizing PLM systems.
• Utilize OOTB (Out-of-the-Box) REST APIs provided by platforms like PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter to interact with data (e.g., pulling product BOMs, pushing simulation results).
• Develop Custom REST APIs and backend services to support unique use cases, such as automation workflows, third-party tool integration, or dashboard reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Possess a solid mechanical or industrial engineering background.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, process simulation, and digital twin technology.
• Extensive experience in enterprise software environments, working on both tool implementation and system integration.
• Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders from engineering, IT, and production to deliver scalable simulation and PLM solutions.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience working with simulation tools used in manufacturing and digital twin environments.
• Proven expertise with Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, Siemens Technomatix Tools, and FlexSim.
• Strong proficiency in REST API development, especially in the context of enterprise PLM systems like PTC Windchill and Siemens Teamcenter.
