Internship Opportunity User Interface Design Intern (Remote)
We are seeking a User Interface Design Intern to support our digital product and e-commerce initiatives in a remote, full-time internship role. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world web and mobile design within a growing wellness organization.
The Intern will contribute to the creation of intuitive, aesthetically pleasing digital interfaces, including our e-commerce website, landing pages, and mobile touchpoints. Responsibilities include assisting with wireframing, creating high-fidelity mockups, maintaining our digital design system, and collaborating closely with the marketing and development teams to ensure a seamless and visually consistent user experience.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to strengthen their UI portfolio while working in a professional, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface Design: Assist in designing visual layouts for the company website, landing pages, and mobile interfaces.
- Prototyping: Support the creation of wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts.
- Design Systems: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the UI style guide (typography, color palettes, buttons, and iconography) to ensure brand consistency across digital platforms.
- Responsiveness: Optimize designs for various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) to ensure a responsive and accessible user experience.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with branding and technical teams to hand off designs and ensure visual quality during implementation.
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of industry-standard design tools, specifically Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Visual Design Skills: A strong grasp of UI principles, including layout, typography, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Prototyping Knowledge: Ability to create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive mock-ups.
- Attention to Detail: A pixel-perfect mindset with a keen eye for alignment and consistency.
- Basic UX Understanding: Familiarity with user-centred design principles and common web usability standards.
- Work Ethic: Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a remote, professional environment.
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
