About the Role
We're seeking a Design Engineer who can own and elevate the end-to-end product experience at Floqer. You'll work closely with the CTO and product team to design, prototype, and build intuitive, high-impact workflows for a complex, data-heavy SaaS platform. You'll help shape what we build, how it's implemented, and how customers experience Floqer at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the end-to-end design and implementation process - from brainstorming and iterations with the product team, to high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready code.
- Designing and building intuitive user experiences for a real-time SaaS data and GTM automation platform.
- Partnering closely with engineering to scope and implement user experiences that maintain our high quality bar.
- Collaborating with founders, product, and business teams to align design and engineering decisions with company goals.
- Defining and evolving Floqer's design system to ensure consistency, speed, and quality as the product scales.
- Using data, experimentation, and customer feedback to iterate and measurably improve usability.
- Prototyping and implementing web interactions and product launch materials that solve complex problems.
- Engaging directly with customers when needed to understand pain points, validate solutions, and refine workflows.
- End-to-end user acceptance testing.

What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant web front-end development / creative technology experience at a tech-forward, product-driven company.
- Advanced knowledge of ReactJS, NextJS.
- Experience with TypeScript or similar typed JavaScript frameworks.
- Proficiency with modern state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Jotai, or similar).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience designing and building intuitive user experiences for complex SaaS products, preferably in workflow builder products.
- Experience writing clear, elegant code in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills; able to clearly articulate design and technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- A good understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
- Experience with responsive and accessible design (WCAG compliance).
- Familiarity with CSS-in-JS solutions (styled-components, Emotion, Tailwind CSS) & testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience with build tools and optimization (Webpack, Vite, code splitting, lazy loading).
- Experience with component libraries and design systems implementation.
- Strong product design fundamentals with a proven track record of improving user experiences, ideally backed by quantified impact (e.g. improved activation, reduced friction, higher engagement).
- Co-founder or early-stage startup experience.
- Go-to-market (GTM), sales tech, or data platform domain knowledge.
Bonus
- Experience with animation libraries (Framer Motion, React Spring).
- Familiarity with E2E testing and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
