About the team:
- The SAP Build team strives to increase customer value and adoption of the SAP Build solution via a simple and highly usable professional-grade user experience. This is achieved through a solution discovery, design, and development process that is guided by thorough research and data analysis.
- As a User Experience Designer at SAP, you will translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive workflows and user interfaces. You focus on SAP s Fiori design principles to ensure consistency, usability, and a delightful experience for enterprise users. Your primary focus will be end-to-end product design, including UI and interaction, as we'll as user testing & validation.
The roles & responsibilities:
- Create and manage visual assets, ensuring component-level compliance (eg, UI color contrast) across all designs.
- Conduct or collaborate on user testing and validation to inform design decisions.
- Ensure design feasibility and seamless handoff to development teams.
- Actively engage with product managers, engineering, research, and content strategists to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment.
- Lead end-to-end product design, encompassing both UI and interaction elements.
- Translate complex requirements into coherent user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, UX specifications and interactive prototypes.
- Utilize A/B testing and other validation methods to refine and optimize design solutions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed UX specifications to guide development teams.
The role:
- Bachelor s degree in design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in an enterprise software context.
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design/prototyping tools; knowledge of Fiori/UI5 design libraries is a strong advantage.
- Experience in conducting or participating in user testing and validation sessions.
- Communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with product managers, engineers, user researchers, and content strategists.
- A solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and component-level compliance, including color contrast and accessibility standards.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks.
- Your ability to align user flows with business and technical goals, coupled with a strong focus on delivering high-quality UX deliverables, will drive the success of our products and enhance user satisfaction.
- Fluent English and German language skills, both spoken and written.
