Role Description

We are seeking a full-time User Experience Designer to join our team on-site at our Mumbai location. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for enhancing user satisfaction by refining the usability, accessibility, and interaction of digital platforms. Daily tasks include conducting user research, applying design thinking methodologies, crafting visual designs, creating user experience frameworks, and developing interactive prototypes to validate design solutions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-friendly solutions.

The User Experience Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered digital solutions that support marine operations and technology platforms. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves close collaboration with engineers, product owners, and marine specialists. Day-to-day work includes conducting user research with internal and external stakeholders, mapping user journeys, and defining interaction flows for tools used in vessel operations and marine consulting. The role includes creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs, and iterating based on user feedback and usability testing. The User Experience Designer will also help translate complex technical requirements into accessible interfaces, document design decisions, and contribute to a consistent design language across products.

Qualifications

• Strong user-centered mindset with skills in User Experience (UX) and Design Thinking, including problem framing and iterative solution development.
• Experience in User Research, such as interviews, observations, and usability testing, and ability to translate insights into clear design requirements.
• Proficiency in Visual Design and Prototyping, including creation of wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using modern design tools.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate design rationales clearly, and incorporate feedback from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant academic background in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of digital product development processes and familiarity with agile or iterative ways of working.
• Interest in or exposure to marine, industrial, or technical domains is an advantage, with willingness to learn marine operations concepts.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Visual Thinking, Design Thinking methodologies and processes
• Ability to conduct User Research, including testing and gathering user insights
• Strong Visual Design skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetic design
• Expertise in User Experience (UX) and the ability to create seamless interfaces
• Experience in Prototyping interactive design solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams
• Knowledge of tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
