Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of an organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes. Monthly Close: Prepare and execute the monthly close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Tax Accruals: Calculate and record tax accruals to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Monthly Financial Statement Creation: Distribute monthly financial statements
- Payroll Tax Filings: Handle all payroll tax filings in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to local, state, and federal requirements.
- Payroll Tax Reconciliations: Reconcile payroll tax accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Tax Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve tax issues and discrepancies, working closely with tax authorities as needed.
- Journal Entry Creation: Create and post weekly and monthly journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested by management.
- Expense Analysis: Analyze and report on company expenses, identifying trends and areas for cost reduction.
- Job Costing: Assist in job costing processes, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to various projects.
- Treasury Functions: Assist finance and payroll departments in various treasury functions including cash management and account research activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor/ master's degree in commerce; 3-5 years of Accounting Experience
- Accurate data entry experience with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in spreadsheets and data entry systems
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- High motivation and enthusiasm to learn. Experience of working in a startup service center organization will be a plus.
- Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement & propose innovative solutions.
- Excellent time management skills & ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure & constantly changing environment.
- Need to consistently demonstrate initiative and work well in a team environment.
- US Shift working - with some stretch during peak days. (EST 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) 5 days work from office
