JOB DESCRIPTION:
FTL / PTL Head
Position Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Business Head FTL/PTL to lead and scale our full-truckload and part-truckload businesses. This role carries
end-to-end PL responsibility, including revenue growth, cost optimization, network expansion, and customer success.
- Strategy PL Ownership
- Own end-to-end PL for FTL and PTL businesses
- Define and execute short-term and long-term business strategy
- Drive revenue growth while improving margins and unit economics
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans
- Revenue Customer Growth
- Scale enterprise and mid-market customer portfolio
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
- Drive pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and yield management
- Identify new lanes, industries, and growth opportunities
- Operations Network Management
- Oversee FTL PTL operations including line haul, first/middle/last mile
- Improve fleet utilization, turnaround time, and service levels
- Optimize vendor, fleet owner, and transporter partnerships
- Ensure high OTIF, low claims, and strong service reliability
- Process, Tech Compliance
- Drive process excellence through automation and technology adoption
- Work closely with product/tech teams on TMS and visibility tools
- Ensure regulatory, safety, and compliance adherence
Key Metrics
- Revenue growth EBITDA margins
- Cost per shipment / per km
- Fleet utilization network efficiency
- OTIF, claims ratio, and customer NPS
- Sales pipeline conversion customer retention
- Proven PL ownership at a business or category level Strong understanding of line haul, hub-and-spoke, and fleet economics Experience scaling a logistics business or large region
Experience: 10-15+ years in FTL / PTL logistics or transportation plus MBA
