Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Urban Planner / Urban Designer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in urban planning, urban design, and large-scale projects, particularly within the public sector. The ideal candidate should possess strong visualization and detailing skills, along with a thorough understanding of the planning, design, and implementation of Town Planning Schemes (TPS), Land Pooling Schemes (LPS), Local Area Plans (LAP), and City Development Plans (CDP).
The role involves working in close coordination with internal teams, government authorities, and consultants, and requires proficiency in project documentation and coordination. The candidate should be a proactive professional capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to high-quality and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation and execution of Town Planning Schemes (TPS) in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct site visits, field surveys, and collect relevant planning and land-related data.
- Prepare and update base maps, layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, and other tools.
- Support in land reconstitution, area calculations, and preparation of planning proposals.
- Assist in drafting TPS reports, land use plans, and infrastructure layouts.
- Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, and stakeholders for project-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with GDCR, statutory requirements, and planning norms.
- Maintain proper documentation and assist in submission of reports and approvals.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations and assist in resolving planning-related issues.
- Contribute to urban design concepts for streets, public spaces, and open areas within TPS layouts.
- Prepare visual presentations, concept drawings, and 3D views (if applicable) for design communication.
- Ensure integration of urban design principles such as walkability, accessibility, and place-making within planning proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture / urban planning / urban design.
- Master's degree in architecture (M.Arch) / Urban Planning / Urban Design .
- Minimum 5 years of experience in urban planning, urban design, and large-scale projects, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), MS Excel, SketchUp.
- Ability to interpret cadastral maps and revenue records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines efficiently.
