Unloading Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate unloading activities to ensure timely and safe offloading of incoming shipments.
• Manage, train, and motivate unloading staff to maintain high productivity and adherence to procedures.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage, discrepancies, and verify quantities against delivery documents.
• Maintain accurate records of unloading activities, including logs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during unloading operations.
• Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, and transport teams to streamline workflow.
• Identify and address operational issues or delays promptly to avoid disruptions.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for unloading processes.
• Conduct regular safety audits and provide feedback to improve safety practices.
• Handle equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts when necessary (with certification).

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in supervising unloading or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery documents and inventory records.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Forklift operator certification is preferred.
