UNIX Scripting Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance an existing UNIX script codebase (100,000 lines) primarily written in Korn Shell (ksh), along with Perl and Expect scripts
• Develop, modify, and optimize UNIX scripts in ksh, Perl, and Expect for business and system requirements
• Design and manage Autosys job scheduling using JIL scripts and command-line interface
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Autosys scheduling issues and job failures
• Manage complex job dependencies, calendars, and automated job workflows in Autosys
• Integrate applications across multiple environments (UK, Chennai, Paris) and ensure end-to-end workflow execution
• Collaborate with technical architects, UK project teams, and internal IT teams for solution implementation
• Troubleshoot UNIX system and application-level issues across Solaris and RedHat Linux servers
• Define and support XML-based data feed mechanisms for application integration
• Work with version control systems such as CVS and SVN in both UNIX and Windows environments
• Act as a technical authority for UNIX scripting, Autosys, and related scheduling systems
• Support production environments with quick issue resolution under tight deadlines
