UNIX, LINUX and SQL Queries

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Unix/Linux system monitoring, log analysis, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and support purposes.
• Automate system tasks using shell scripting (Bash/KSH/Perl) to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor system and database health, performance, and usage trends.
• Collaborate with DBAs, developers, and support teams to resolve system and data issues.
• Maintain and manage cron jobs, file transfers (SFTP), and scheduled jobs.
• Participate in on-call support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Document scripts, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, AIX, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL: writing queries, joins, filtering, and data manipulation
• Experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Korn, or similar)
