Role Description

We are looking for a disciplined, proactive, and hands-on Unit Head to oversee day-to-day operations at our healthcare unit . The ideal candidate will come with prior experience in either a manufacturing plant or a defense background, bringing strong leadership, operational discipline, and an ability to manage manpower, processes, and on-ground challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Operations & Management

Supervise all daily site operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning.

Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams for seamless workflows.

Ensure all machinery, equipment, and tools are in working condition and available for daily operations.

2. Manpower Supervision

Manage the attendance, discipline, and productivity of site workers.

Allocate resources and assign daily tasks to shop-floor teams.

Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal HR policies.

3. Safety & Security

Enforce workplace safety procedures, PPE usage, and emergency preparedness.

Conduct periodic safety audits and drills.

Monitor and supervise site security staff and protocols.

4. Reporting & Coordination

Maintain daily reports on production status, issues, and site updates.

Report critical incidents, delays, or concerns to senior management.

Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and other stakeholders as required.

5. Maintenance Oversight

Coordinate with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Ensure quick resolution of equipment downtime or utility disruptions.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management preferred.

Army/Navy/Air Force (Retired JCO/NCO or equivalent) also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in plant/site operations, manufacturing supervision, or defense service.

Prior experience in handling labor and unionized workforce is an advantage.

Key Skills & Traits:

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Hands-on approach with high accountability.

Familiarity with factory safety norms and industrial operations.

Should have experience in handling unions .

Physically fit and mentally resilient.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Notice Period - Immediate to 15 Days
