About role:
We are looking for an Underwriter for our team. You will assess risks, analyse documentation, and issue policies in line with underwriting guidelines to support profitable growth.
Key responsibilities:
· Evaluate real estate/property risks and determine appropriate terms, pricing, and coverage.
· Review proposals, documentation, valuations, and inspection reports.
· Prepare quotations, policy wordings, endorsements, and schedules accurately and on time.
· Collaborate with brokers/sales teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
· Monitor portfolio performance and maintain underwriting records in systems.
· Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
· Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
· Proficiency with computer tools and software like MS Office, Outlook etc
· Good communication and presentation skills.
· Bachelor's degree (insurance/finance/commerce preferred); insurance certifications are a plus.
· Familiarity with reinsurance and referral processes.
