UK Accounting Manager Year-End Accounts (FRS 102 / 105)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced UK Accounting Manager to take ownership of UK year-end accounts delivery, quality, and team leadership. This is a senior role for a technically strong accountant who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high standards, and owning outcomes not just reviewing work.

You will act as the UK accounting authority for year-end engagements, working closely with UK stakeholders while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Owning the preparation, review, and finalisation of FRS 102 (1A) and FRS 105 accounts for UK clients

- Leading and managing a team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery

- Providing technical guidance, structured reviews, and detailed feedback

- Acting as a key point of contact for UK stakeholders

- Working independently with minimal senior oversight

- Supporting senior leadership with reports, trackers, and efficiency metrics

- Driving continuous improvement in processes and controls

- Maintaining high standards of presentation and professional judgement

CCH, IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel

What This Role Is (And Is Not)

This role IS a hands-on leadership position with ownership of UK accounting quality.

This role is NOT a pure review or coordination role.

- Proven team leadership experience

- Solid understanding of UK GAAP

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
