Job Description
This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to launch a career in finance. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative finance team, gaining hands-on experience across various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities -
* Assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records, including ledger postings and journal entries.
Processing accounts payable (supplier invoices) and accounts receivable (sales invoices and receipts).
* Performing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Helping to prepare financial statements, reports, and basic management accounts under the supervision of senior staff.
*Liaising with clients or other departments to resolve accounting queries.
Performing general administrative duties within the finance department as required.
