UI/UX Designer

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES(Percent of Time)

1. User Research & Analysis(25%)

• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user behaviors, pain points, and preferences.
• Translate research findings into actionable design insights to improve user experiences.

2. Interaction & Visual Design(30%)

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for both web and mobile platforms.
• Adhere to established design systems and branding guidelines to ensure consistency across products.

3. Design System & Accessibility(20%)

• Maintain and refine a scalable design system for web and mobile applications.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and can be applied consistently across global markets.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration(15%)

• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide clear design specifications and feedback to ensure design intent is accurately implemented.

5. Continuous Improvement(10%)

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Continuously improve design processes, tools, and outcomes based on new learnings.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Product Managers: To understand requirements and priorities.
• Software Developers: To ensure design feasibility and technical alignment.
• Quality Assurance Specialists: To gather feedback on usability and design adherence.
• Marketing and Branding Teams: To maintain brand consistency.
• External Research Partners or User Testing Groups: For user insights and usability feedback.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field required (Master's degree preferred).
• 3-5 years of professional experience designing for web and mobile applications, preferably within a software product development environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions, visual design sensibilities, and proficiency in interaction design.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with user research methodologies, analytics tools, and usability testing frameworks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions and rationale.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Primarily a sedentary role, working at a computer for extended periods.
• May occasionally require travel for user research sessions, team workshops, or conferences.
• Flexible working hours to accommodate collaboration with international teams if needed.
