About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our founding or early team at Nestology. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the user experience of our product, focusing on designing calm, intuitive interfaces that simplify complex developmental concepts for parents of children aged 0-3. This is not a role for superficial aesthetics; instead, it requires a deep understanding of user psychology, emotional context, and the nuances of parenting. You will work closely with the founders, engineers, and educators to craft user journeys, app flows, trackers, and AI interaction models that feel supportive and trustworthy. Your work will directly influence how modern parents perceive and interact with developmental guidance, making a meaningful impact in their lives during a sensitive phase.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 8 years of experience in UI/UX design, particularly within consumer-facing applications. Prior experience designing mobile-first apps in health, education, fintech, or consumer tech sectors will be highly valued. You should possess a strong ability to think in terms of user flows and mental models, with a sensitivity to emotional and psychological states of users, especially parents navigating stressful or uncertain situations. Comfort working in early-stage, ambiguous environments and a genuine passion for creating products with meaningful impact are essential. Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, and collaborative platforms like Notion or FigJam, is required. An understanding of React Native constraints is a plus, as it will help ensure feasible implementation of your designs.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive end-to-end user journeys tailored for parents of children aged 0-3, ensuring clarity and reassurance at every touchpoint.
- Translate complex developmental and behavioral concepts into simple, calming, and intuitive interfaces that reduce cognitive load and emotional stress.
- Create user experience designs for trackers related to sleep, feeding, milestones, and emotional states, ensuring they are accessible without overwhelming the user.
- Develop AI interaction flows that are empathetic, supportive, and feel human, avoiding robotic or impersonal interactions.
- Own the entire design process, including wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity screens, and interaction states, maintaining consistency across the product.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, well-implemented, and aligned with technical constraints.
- Build and maintain a cohesive design system that reflects Nestology's tonecalm, premium, and trustworthy.
- Participate in user research activities, including parent interviews and usability testing, to gather insights and iterate on designs based on real user feedback.
