Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to help shape intuitive, engaging, and scalable digital experiences across AlmaBetter's learning platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and development transforming user insights, product goals, and design concepts into seamless, high-performing interfaces.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to craft experiences that enhance learner engagement, simplify complex journeys, and elevate the overall usability of our platform. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong design thinking with front-end execution skills and is passionate about building products that directly impact user outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

As a UI/UX Designer at AlmaBetter, you will:

Design & Development:

• Create engaging and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Transform wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into high-quality, responsive interfaces.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to bring ideas to life.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative design solutions.

Research & Usability Testing:

• Conduct user research to understand customer pain points and design needs.
• Perform usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.

Optimization:

• Optimise web and mobile applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility and usability standards.

Trends & Best Practices:

• Stay updated on the latest trends in UI/UX design and front-end development.
• Implement modern design frameworks and tools to enhance the user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Strong knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

Design Acumen:

• Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centric design, and design systems.
• Experience with prototyping tools and wireframing.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions effectively.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing accessible designs following WCAG guidelines.
• Knowledge of motion design and micro-interactions.
• Experience in A/B testing and analytics tools to measure the success of designs.
