Role:UAV Maintenance & Operations Technician

Experience: 25 years

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary

The UAV Maintenance & Operations Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, ground testing, and safe operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role supports daily flight operations, testing activities, and ensures all UAV systems remain airworthy and compliant with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on UAVs.

Maintain batteries, including charging, storage, and health checks.

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and avionics-related faults.

Maintain maintenance logs and service records.

Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections.

Perform UAV flight operations as per approved SOPs.

Support test flights and operational missions.

Support in integration of sensors, cameras, and other payloads.

Maintain safe handling of batteries and electronic equipment.

Maintain flight logs, maintenance records, and test reports.

Required Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field (Hands-on experience can substitute formal education)

Hands-on experience with UAV maintenance and operation.

Understanding of UAV subsystems, including:

Motors, ESCs, and propellers

Batteries and power systems

Flight controllers and onboard sensors

Batteries, power systems and chargers

Knowledge of fire safety practices, especially related to Li-ion / LiPo battery handling, charging, storage, and emergency response

Flight controllers and sensors

Ability to use basic tools and test equipment (multi meter, soldering tools, power supplies, etc).
