Job Description

Job Desription:
- Define and manage the UAT strategy, including scope, timelines, and key milestones
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure test environments and data are prepared and available on schedule
- Review UAT artifacts, such as test plans, test cases, and execution reports, for completeness and accuracy
- Manage defect triaging, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues identified during testing
- Lead the creation and execution of UAT test cases, ensuring alignment with business requirements
- Conduct peer reviews of test cases developed by junior UAT team members to ensure quality and alignment with requirements
- Execute test plans and test cases, validating that they meet specified business requirements and release features
- Manage UAT governance activities, including progress tracking, adherence to UAT processes, preparation of status reports, monitoring team productivity / utilization and ensure project KPIs are met
- Ensure successful test execution by proactively identifying and communicating risks, issues, and blockers to relevant stakeholders
- Perform exploratory and ad-hoc testing, with a focus on identifying defects and validating fixes-acting as a subject matter expert in uncovering application issues
- Lead small teams to deliver assigned UAT projects, ensuring timely and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with Development team to gain a deep understanding of the technical architecture and feature implementations

Mandatory Skillset:
- Minimum 7 years in software testing, with a strong focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Proficient in using tools such as Rally, Jira, ALM, or equivalent platforms for test planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Basic proficiency in SQL for data validation and test data preparation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills proactive in raising issues, sharing observations, and seeking clarifications during meetings
- Quick learner with the ability to understand new applications, systems, and business process flows efficiently
- Basic understanding of the credit card domain or a strong willingness to learn and adapt to domain-specific knowledge
- Capable of supporting multiple applications and comprehending end-to-end business and technical workflows
- Strong focus on accuracy in test execution and documentation ability to identify and articulate potential issues effectively
- Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, actively participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Skilled in preparing and maintaining triage documentation and knowledge base articles for both new and existing applications
- Proven ability to work closely with clients, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements and contribute to the design of quality solutions

Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Very good communication and articulation skills
- High attention to detail and quality orientation

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
- Prior experience in Testing of large banking programs/projects

Other Job Requirements:
- Willingness to work from the Global Village campus in Bangalore
- Flexibility to work in US shift hours, specifically:
- 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM IST (equivalent to 4:30 AM to 2:00 PM EST)
- IST shift timings will be adjusted in accordance with Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes
- Hybrid work model: Required to work in office 3 days per week
- Must be ready to work full-time from the office during the initial transition phase (approximately 2 months)
