Role overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Travel Consultant /Sr Travel Consultant Holiday Packages to design, sell, and manage domestic and international holiday packages. The role involves understanding client travel requirements, creating customized itineraries, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring seamless travel experiences for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Handling

  • Handle inquiries for domestic and international holiday packages via calls, emails, and walk-ins.
  • Understand client preferences, budget, and travel goals to propose suitable holiday packages.
  • Prepare and share customized itineraries, quotations, and proposals.
  • Follow up with clients to close bookings and achieve sales targets.

Package Planning & Operations

  • Design tailor-made and fixed-departure holiday packages.
  • Coordinate with hotels, DMCs, transport providers, airlines, and activity vendors.
  • Manage bookings for hotels, sightseeing, transfers, and activities.
  • Ensure timely confirmations, vouchers, and travel documents.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare itineraries, vouchers, invoices, and service confirmations.
  • Coordinate with visa teams for documentation support (where applicable).
  • Maintain accurate client records and booking details in CRM/system.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and supplier agreements.

Customer Experience & Support

  • Provide pre-travel, during-travel, and post-travel assistance to clients.
  • Handle client queries, changes, and complaints efficiently.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Market Knowledge & Product Development

  • Stay updated on destinations, hotel products, airline policies, visa rules, and travel trends.
  • Assist in creating promotional packages and seasonal offers.
  • Provide competitive analysis and pricing insights.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
  • Ability to create attractive itineraries and proposals.
  • Negotiation and sales skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple bookings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or any related field (preferred).
  • 13 years of experience in holiday packages/leisure travel.
  • Experience working with DMCs, hotels, and tour operators.
  • Knowledge of GDS (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre) is an added advantage.

  • CRM / Travel Booking Systems
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Email & Communication Platforms

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales targets & conversion ratio.
  • Client satisfaction and repeat bookings.
  • Accuracy of bookings and documentation.
  • Turnaround time for proposals and confirmations.
