Job Title: Travel Agency Manager
Department: Operations / Sales
Reporting To: Director / Managing Partner
Salary: 25000 to 45000 per month.
Job Summary
The Travel Agency Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the travel agency, driving sales performance, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving business targets. The role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, operational knowledge, and the ability to manage both corporate and leisure travel services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day travel agency operations
Ensure smooth booking processes for flights, hotels, tours, visas, and insurance
Monitor ticketing, refunds, re-issuance, and cancellations
Ensure compliance with company policies and travel regulations
2. Sales & Revenue Management
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and yearly targets
Drive holiday package, group tour, and corporate travel sales
Track lead conversion ratios and improve closure rates
Negotiate rates with airlines, hotels, and vendors
3. Team Management & Leadership
Lead, train, and motivate travel consultants and operations staff
Assign targets and monitor individual performance
Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings
Resolve internal staff issues and maintain team discipline
4. Customer Relationship Management
Handle escalated customer complaints professionally
Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and repeat customers
Ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality
5. Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
Monitor daily sales, revenue, and expenses
Prepare MIS reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
Control operational costs and improve profit margins
Ensure timely collections and payment follow-ups
6. Vendor & Partner Coordination
Manage relationships with airlines, DMCs, hotels, and transport partners
Finalize contracts and negotiate better deals
Ensure service quality from third-party vendors
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent knowledge of travel operations and sales
Good understanding of GDS systems (Amadeus / Galileo / Sabre preferred)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
Good analytical and decision-making skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Travel, Tourism, Business, or related field (preferred)
58 years of experience in the travel industry
Minimum 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Working Conditions:
Full-time role
May require extended hours during peak seasons
