Overview
We are looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins Realis office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, India.
Your role
- Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor's Degree with Master's degree in transport planning / economics)
- Working experience (5years - 10years) in Transport Planning software like VISUM, SATURN, DIADEM, EMME
- Experience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance
- Knowledge of the technical transport planning environment
- Strong numerate and analytical abilities, including high degree of competence in MS Excel
- Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project
- Experience in leading smaller teams as part of a project delivery
- Good written communication skills
- Be able to work individually

- Be highly self-motivated and ambitious
- Be able to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers
- Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Knowledge and experience of UK regional modelling guidance and approaches
- Experience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databases
- An appreciation of the transport industry and related policy context
- Professional membership of a relevant institution
- Experience in programming skills like Python, PowerBI, Excel-VBA, and R
