DevOps Engineer with GCP( Senior) - Only 9+Yrs Exp - VR-121417

Project Description:

Developing cloud-based compliance state-of-the-art archive products to archive and retain real-time communications data in line with internal and external regulatory requirements. The product is developed in-house in an agile development setup based on business requirements from multiple stakeholder parties. By employing continuous development and deployment principles, the team is aiming to transition from project to product management to support the bank with robust compliance archive solutions for the next decade.

For a large global investment bank, we are looking for GCP-qualified cloud engineers to help with the FIC (fixed income and currencies) cloud migrations under Project Cirrus.

Knowledge of Financial Services/FIC would be great, but the primary skills we need are in building, migrating, and deploying applications to GCP, Terraform module coding, Google infrastructure, cloud-native services such as GCE, GKE, CloudSQL/Postgres, logging and monitoring, etc., & good written and spoken English, as we would like these engineers to help with knowledge transfer to our existing development & support teams.

We would like to place people alongside the engineers they'll be working with in the bank.

Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. DevOps Strategy & Leadership

Define and implement best DevOps practices to enhance deployment speed, system reliability, and scalability.

Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline workflows.

Mentor and guide team members in DevOps methodologies and tools.

2. Cloud Infrastructure Management (GCP & Terraform)

Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure usingGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)andTerraform.

ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC)for scalable and automated cloud deployments.

Optimize cloud resources for cost, security, and performance.

3. CI/CD & Automation (GitHub Actions & Helm)

Build, maintain, and improveCI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Automate application deployments usingHelm chartsfor Kubernetes environments.

Ensure zero-downtime deployments and rollback mechanisms.

4. Containerization & Kubernetes

Deploy and manage containerized applications inKubernetes clusters.

ImplementKubernetes networking, security, and scalingbest practices.

Troubleshoot and optimize Kubernetes workloads for high availability.

5. Java Application Deployment & Optimization

Support and optimize the deployment ofJava-based applicationsin cloud-native environments.

Enhance monitoring and logging for Java applications in Kubernetes.

Implementperformance tuningstrategies for Java applications in production.

6. Security, Monitoring & Compliance

Implement DevSecOps practices to ensuresecurity at every stage of the pipeline.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting usingNew Relic, Prometheus, Grafana.

Enforce compliance with security standards and industry best practices.

7. Troubleshooting & Incident Management

Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis.

Automate infrastructure monitoring and proactive issue resolution.

Work closely with SRE and support teams to enhance system resilience.

8. AI models understanding and Usage

Should be proficient in using gemini, github copilot

Understanding of Agentic AI is good to have.

Mandatory Skills:

DevOps Docker Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Kubernetes OpenShift

Mandatory Skills Description:

9+ yearsof experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD automation.

Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)services (GKE, IAM, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, etc.).

Hands-on experience with Terraformfor IaC and cloud automation.

Proficiency in Kubernetes(Helm, Ingress, RBAC, Operators, etc.).

Experience with GitHub Actionsfor CI/CD workflows.

Experience in Scripting python, bash.

Knowledge of Java applicationsand their deployment in cloud-native environments.

Strong understanding ofnetworking, security, and performance optimizationin cloud and Kubernetes.

Excellent troubleshooting, scripting (Bash/Python), and automation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience withAnthosor hybrid Kubernetes setups.

Experience in GCP services and Terraform is must have

Experience in Github technologies.

Experience in helm charts.

Familiarity withArgoCDfor GitOps practices.

Experience integratingObservability toolslike Newrelic m Prometheus, Grafana.

Certification inGCP, Kubernetes, or Terraformis a plus.
