Transport Operations Manager Tanzania

We are seeking a seasoned Transport Operations Manager to lead our transport operations in Tanzania from our office in India. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in logistics and transportation management to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport operations and ensure efficient logistics management.
• Develop and implement transport policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients to manage transportation schedules and deliveries.
• Monitor and analyze transport performance metrics and address any issues promptly.
• Manage and mentor the transport operations team, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of transport services with overall operations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-15 years of experience in transport operations management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of logistics and transportation regulations, especially in the Tanzanian context.
• Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
