Role Description The Transport - General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, responsible for overseeing the overall transport operations and safety functions for client engagements. This role includes managing daily fleet operations, route planning, and scheduling, ensuring timely and safe movement of vehicles and goods. The General Manager will coordinate with regulatory and government bodies for licensing and liaisoning activities, supervise safety audits, and implement safety PMC recommendations. The role involves monitoring productivity metrics, preparing and reviewing documentation, managing certifications, and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements. The General Manager will also lead and mentor operational teams, support training initiatives, and collaborate with clients to improve transport processes and safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport management or logistics operations, with strong skills in fleet oversight, route planning, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and experience with safety audits, safety PMC, and documentation practices.
• Ability to manage certification and licensing processes, including liaisoning with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
• Experience in productivity improvement, process optimization, and performance monitoring within transport or related industries.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including team management, staff training coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transport management, business administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Familiarity with CSR-related initiatives in transport or infrastructure sectors and comfort working in an on-site, operations-focused environment in Navi Mumbai.
