Role Description The Transport - General Manager (Mid Level Experience) will oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of goods and fleets. This full-time, on-site role in Navi Mumbai includes supervising transport staff, coordinating schedules and routes, monitoring vehicle utilization, and implementing safety standards and productivity initiatives. The role involves managing vendor and client relationships, ensuring adherence to licensing and regulatory requirements, and supporting audits, documentation, and reporting. The General Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to continuous process improvements, and support training and CSR-related activities connected to transport operations.
Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport or logistics management, including fleet operations, route planning, and daily transport coordination.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, licensing requirements, and transport-related audits.
• Skills in operations management, productivity improvement, and process optimization within transportation or logistics environments.
• Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and record-keeping with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Competence in stakeholder liaisoning, vendor and client management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience supporting or implementing training programs and CSR activities related to safety, transport, or operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Comfort with using basic digital tools and transport management systems for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Mid-level management experience in a similar role, preferably within the Navi Mumbai region or comparable urban transport environment.
