Designation: Senior Translator - Translation Services

Job Overview:
The senior Translator should be highly proficient in the language that He/She is applying for. They should ensure Quality, Context, and adherence to style guidelines. In addition to translating content, this role involves proofreading and editing to guarantee a high-quality content delivery. The Senior Translator will play a pivotal role in maintaining consistency and quality by collaborating effectively with in-house teams and external freelancers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Translation and Proofreading:
- Translate an average of 3000-4000 words per day while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proofread and edit translated content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Remove redundancies and rewrite ambiguous or unclear text to enhance overall quality.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that translated content accurately conveys the meaning of the source language.
- Edit, rewrite, and restructure translations as necessary to improve overall quality.
- Maintain consistency in style, grammar, and writing throughout all translated content.
- Quality Control Reporting:
- Generate Quality Control (QC) reports to document translation and editing processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in translation quality.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in English and the native language, demonstrating a strong command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary in both languages.
- Proven experience or understanding in translation and editing.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Effective time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Ability to meet daily translation targets without compromising on the quality of the output.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality translations within specified deadlines.
- Familiarity with translation tools or CAT tools and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the translation process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Eligibility Criterion:
- Work Experience: 1-4 Years
- Education Qualification: Bachelors in Literature (For the specific language)
