Who are we looking for

Our client is a global top-tier consulting firm supporting a leading organisation in India on a large-scale business transformation initiative. They are seeking a Transition Expert to lead and manage complex transition and transformation programs, ensuring seamless migration of processes, functions, or business units with minimal disruption to operations.

This is a high-impact role focused on planning and executing end-to-end transitions, including stakeholder alignment, governance setup, risk mitigation, and delivery oversight. This role will play a critical part in ensuring successful transition outcomes aligned with broader transformation objectives.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end transition programs, including planning, execution, and stabilisation phases across business functions or geographies
  • Define and implement transition frameworks, governance structures, and operating models to ensure structured delivery
  • Develop detailed transition plans covering scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across client leadership, functional teams, and cross-border stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the transition lifecycle, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Drive knowledge transfer, process migration, and capability handover to ensure continuity and sustainability
  • Establish tracking mechanisms, KPIs, and reporting structures to monitor transition progress and performance
  • Collaborate with transformation, technology, and operations teams to align transition activities with broader program goals
  • Lead workshops, steering committees, and status updates with senior stakeholders

Skills & Qualification:

  • Strong experience in transition management, business transformation, or program delivery within consulting or large enterprise environments
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transitions (e.g., shared services, outsourcing, carve-outs, or operating model shifts)
  • Expertise in transition methodologies, governance frameworks, and risk management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders (C-suite level exposure preferred)
  • Strong understanding of process migration, knowledge transfer, and operational stabilisation
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-country or multi-business unit transitions
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience with a top-tier consulting firm or similar transformation environment is highly preferred
